Educators and Students of History:
Welcome to the Collier
County Museum!
We are very happy that you are considering a trip to the Collier County
Museum in this year's
curriculum. The following pages are designed to help you and your students
better prepare for your visit.
For many of your students, this will be their first visit to a History Museum. We encourage you to review
the enclosed material and tour the museum prior to your scheduled class
visit. Museum visits are more meaningful and more enjoyable for the
well-prepared class.
The education programs offered by the Collier County
Museum are outlined
in this booklet. However, you are not limited to these programs. Activities
can be developed to meet your specific curriculum needs. I would be happy
to meet with you to discuss any such needs.
Once you have selected a program, pre and post visit materials will be sent
to you with a confirmation sheet so that you and your students will know
the schedule of activities on the day of your visit.
